Moore Seed Farm is proud to serve our local community, hiring local youth to detassel seed corn since 1962.

In order to apply, applicants must be at least 14 years old by July 1st, have reliable transportation too and from work, be physically dexterous enough to walk miles per day, and maintain full use of hands/arms. Keep in mind that you do not have to be a student to apply for this seasonal position... we hire all ages! We have found this to be a great option for stay-at-home moms, adults between jobs, or anyone looking for a chance to work!

What to expect:
The summer detasseling season generally begins mid-July and can run from 2-4 weeks, depending on the season, growing conditions (weather), and acres planted. Employees are expected to work 6 days a week, Monday-Saturday, 8:00 am - 3:30 pm. We know that 'life' happens and do our best to work around other obligations such as planned vacations, school camps, sports, and drivers training. But please remember that this is a short term job opportunity and we need you here!
